Entries close at 4:00 on July 10, 2010.  Stock must be on the grounds at 11:00am Saturday July 31, 2010. Judging will be Sunday August 1, 2010 at 1:00pm.  Stock will be released when the show is over.  Registration papers and class check-in will be on Saturday July 31, 2010 from 4-6pm.  Premiums will be available for pick up from the secretary’s office the week after the fair, if not picked up by the deadline, premiums will be mailed to exhibitors.

Rules and Regulations

* The Junior and Senior Shows are Separately Sanctioned.

1. ADGA rules shall govern.

2. Each Caprine animal exhibited in Ohio shall be accompanied by a Health certificate or see rule 901.1-18-07.

3. Entry fee is $4.00 per head.  All competitors for premiums must be members of the society or holders of exhibitors’ tickets except Preble County Junior members exhibiting only Junior Fair projects.  Exhibitors may make as many entries as they like but premiums to any one exhibitor will be limited to two places in single or group per breed.

4. Original registration papers and stamped duplicates must be shown before the start of the show.

5.  Goat producers, which also includes 4-H and FFA meat goat breeding project members are required to comply with USDA Scrapie regulations & Ohio import and exhibition regulations.  Permanent identification is mandatory for goats.

 

Preble County Ag. Society, Fairboard and Preble County Commissioners are not responsible for persons, animals, equipment, or accidents on grounds.

 

Junior Kid- Born between 4-1-2010 and 8-8-2010

Senior Kid- Born between 1-1-2010 and 3-31-2010

Junior Yearling- Born between 4-1-2009 and 12-31-2009

Original certificates are required for all animals 6 months of age or older.  Duplicate applications stamped by the ADGA office or original certificates are required for all animals under 6 months of age.

5. All other Purebreds is open to any American, British, or purebred animal not in Classes A, C, or D.
