Entries close as 4 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2010. Entries are to be checked in Friday, July 30, 2010 between 12-7 p.m. Closed Judging July 31, 2010. Not responsible for articles left after 4 p.m., Saturday August 7, 2010. Items will be released beginning 2 p.m., August 7, 2010.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. All exhibitors for premiums must be members of the Preble County Agricultural Society, or holders of exhibitors tickets and admit the holder to the fairgrounds all week.
2. A charge of $0.25 per item entered in the Photography Categories must be paid to the Fair Secretary at the time of entry.
3. Entries under the film or digital, non-enhanced category must be the original, unretouched, and non-altered work of the exhibitor. Creative cropping is not considered an alteration nor is the simple conversion of a color image file to black & white. Any item submitted which has been altered, retouched, or digitally enhanced must be entered in the sub category A of the respective class.
4. Only one entry per category will be accepted.
5. Entries must be two years old or less.
6. Any work, which has previously won an award at the Preble County Fair, will not be eligible for re-entry.
7. All pictures and photographs accepted for entry must be suitably framed UNDER GLASS and ready for hanging, with picture wire across the back. NOTE: It is required that the minimum picture size be 5 x 7 and the maximum frame size be 16 x 13. If picture is not ready to be hung then the superintendent will disqualify it.
8. All items must be securely tagged and identified.
9. All entries are to be checked in and out with the Department Superintendent, or his representative, at the beginning and end of the Fair.
10. The Department Superintendent reserves the right to reject any work, which does not conform to the printed rules. Also, all work submitted based on film or a digital file in the non-retouched or enhanced class will be closely scrutinized for any alteration, retouching or enhancement. Entries submitted in the incorrect category or sub-category will be rejected be the superintendent or his representative.
11. Junior Division will be thru age 18, inclusive.
12. The exhibitor assumes responsibility for any loss or damage due to fire, theft, or other causes. Preble County Agricultural Society, Fairboard, and Preble County Commissioners are not responsible for persons, items, equipment, or accidents on grounds.
